The movie adaptation of John Niven’s novel is released on November 6.

However you might have felt about Zac Efron’s EDM movie We Are Your Friends, there’s no denying that 2015 has been a golden year for movies about music. We’ve also had Daft Punk movie of sorts Eden, N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton, and coming in November, the adaptation of John Niven’s novel Kill Your Friends, which finally has its first trailer.

Set in 1997, the novel is a satirisation of the music industry at the height of the Britpop era, with the lead role in the black comedy taken by Nicholas Hoult, who plays an A&R man trying to stay ahead of the competition.

The movie is released in the UK on November 6, and features a soundtrack by Junkie XL together with classic tracks by Oasis, Blur, Radiohead, The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers. Check the trailer below.
