Ghetto house legend says he had plans to work with the footwork don.
In an interview published in this weekend’s Guardian Guide, DJ Funk revealed he was planning to work on a collaborative album with DJ Rashad before the pioneering producer passed away last year. The album would have marked a collision of two Chicago dance music icons.
In response to a question which asked about any tracks he wished he had signed, Funk said, “Not a track, but a whole album of DJ Funk and DJ Rashad. I was getting ready to hook up on an album with him two weeks before he passed away. May the brother rest in peace.” [via The Guardian]
