Update: Fetty Wap received three summonses after the crash in Paterson, New Jersey.
Police director Jerry Speziale said the rapper was cited for driving without a license, not having insurance and failing to produce a vehicle registration card, reports the Guardian.
Fetty revealed in an Instagram video post he had broken his leg in three places. The woman driving the car was also injured.
Witnesses at the scene say the rapper was responsive.
Fetty Wap was involved in a serious motorcycle accident in New Jersey this morning, TMZ reports. Witnesses say he was hit by a car while riding and photographs shared on Twitter show the rapper on the ground before being taken away by a stretcher.
Just two days ago Fetty Wap streamed his debut self-titled album.
