Minimalist composition meets chiptune.
Piano Phase is one of Steve Reich’s many experiments in phasing two identical lines of music, but you’ve probably never heard a version like this effort by Melbourne-based chiptune artist Pselodux. The artist has arranged it for Nintendo Game Boy, running the notes through Nanoloop 2 to create a dreamy 8-bit version of Reich’s classic composition.
Watch it below and when you’re done, check out the ingenious Game Boy guitar.
