As a label that’s undergone a bold reinvention of its own, the iconic R&S Records is well qualified to lead a game-changing nightlife experiment set to touch down in in the capital next month.

Electrik London launches in November as part of Absolut Nights, an exploratory series that sets out to blur the boundaries between physical and virtual worlds through cutting-edge virtual reality technology and, of course, plenty of innovation from behind the bar.

R&S are teaming up with creative studio Marshmallow Laser Feast – the brains behind this musical laser forest and equally awesome animal-eye-view virtual reality experience – to shake up the clubbing experience.

Wrapped in LED projections, the Electrik Room will come to life with DJ sets from Leon Vynehall, Lone, Space Dimension Controller and Moiré. The LED wall projections will be motion reactive, responding to sound and mood over the night, with virtual reality headsets ready to transport ravers into another dimension.

Absolut’s mixologist Rico Dynan will also be inventing a menu of experimental drinks as an introduction to each experience. The night is inspired by Absolut Electrik, the vodka maker’s new limited edition pair of blue and silver chrome bottles, available at Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.

The night takes place at Bankside Vaults, Blackfriars, London on November 19 from 8pm – 1am. Visit Absolut to register for tickets by November 5 and follow @AbsolutUK and #ElectrikLondon to find out more. In the meantime, watch the teaser trailer below.

Drink responsibly.
