Chicago upstart gets remixed by an ascending London producer.

Mick Jenkins left a big impression with the release of his last two projects. On aquatically-titled releases The Water[s] and Wave[s], the Alabama-born rapper, raised on Chicago’s South Side, demonstrates a lyrical ability that outpaces his peers in his city’s leftfield scene.

Jenkins recently joined the roster of London’s Good Years label, and ahead of his appearance at the Good Years Boiler Room broadcast today (October 21), Jenkins has shared a smooth remix of the Kaytranada-produced Wave[s] cut ‘Your Love’ by London producer Henry Wu. Wu’s hip-hop and broken-beat creations have previously appeared on Rhythm Section International and Eglo offshot Ho Tep.
