Sock puppets, potato chips, and comedy.

Erykah Badu has added another string to her bow with Live Nudity, a live performance dubbed “one human show” that closes tonight at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters in Dallas, Texas.

The one hour and 45 minute show left a reviewer for The Dallas Observer slightly baffled with its combination of sock puppets, comedy, and Badu eating chips on stage – “That’s it. Crunch, crunch, crunch into the mic.”

The review does however point out the potential in the performance, noting that a more polished script and rehearsals could likely turn the show around and that there were powerful moments.

To be fair, Badu did open the show by telling the audience “just me making this shit up right now.”
