The San Francisco store reach out to music fans on Kickstarter.

In addition to their selection of electronic and experimental music, San Francisco’s RS94109 is also a music venue and home to one of the cities best labels, Dark Entries. This year they began renovating the entire store in order to remodel and add new racks, a listening station and a coffee bar. Last month they turned to Kickstarter to ask fans for help reaching a goal of $20,000 which they’re in sight of now with still a week left of funding.

To help encourage donations they’re offering limited cassettes from Bay Area artists including Vereker, Delivery, Further Reductions and Skander as well as other rewards including clothing, posters, and the opportunity to book an event in the space.

Read more on their Kickstarter page and be sure to check out recent Dark Entries releases by Severed Heads and the late disco pioneer Patrick Cowley.
