Lil Boosie’s cancer surgery has been successful.

The Baton Rouge rapper underwent an operation yesterday at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, to remove cancerous tissue from his kidney. He later posted an update on the procedure via Instagram.

Boosie, who also has diabetes, was diagnosed with cancer in November, just 18 months after being released from jail.
