The BBC’s premier station has announced new residents for 2016.

Hyperdub bossman Kode9 and Russian DJ Nina Kraviz lead the list of new signings: Kode9 released his first solo album, Nothing, earlier this year, and Nina Kraviz continues to fly, with both her DJ profile and that of her label, Trip, increasing by the day.

Other new Radio 1 residents include Steve Angello, Dub Phizix & Strategy and Oliver Heldens. For those fearing the worst for Hyperdub’s regular Rinse FM show, no need to worry: Scratcha DVA will become full-time host of the show.

Dub Phizix & Strategy’s first show takes place on January 7, Kraviz debuts on January 14, then it’s January 21 for Angello and Heldens and January 28 for Kode9.

Skream and others have seen their residencies come to an end as a result.
