If anything were to inspire the rapper to lift his exclusivity this might be it.

Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo is the most talked about album of the new year and clearly one of the most popular judging from how many times its been pirated. However, that won’t be reflected in the latest Billboard charts, as its exclusivity on Tidal has left its stream numbers unreported.

“Billboard has been informed that Tidal is not currently reporting streams for tracks on Kanye’s album to Nielsen Music. Therefore streams from Tidal for this title will not contribute to Billboard’s chart rankings at this time,” said Silvio Pietroluongo, Billboard’s vice president of charts and data development, to the New York Times.

Normally, purchases on Tidal would at least scan with the Nielsens, however West infamously removed the buy option from his album and stated the album will “never be for sale”. Read our review for The Life Of Pablo here.
