The space disco master goes back to basics his new single.

Last year, Lindstrøm indulged in one of his most ambitious projects yet on a collaborative album with Todd Rundgren and Emil Nikolaisen of Oslo psych-rockers Serena-Maneesh. That was all well and good, but for anyone who misses the cosmic disco the producer made his name on — this next one’s for you.

Lindstrøm will release a new EP this summer and judging from the sprawling new single, he’s returned to what he does best. ‘Closing Shot’ builds a sumptuously smooth vibe over nearly eight-and-a-half minutes of glitzy synthesizers and whirring arpeggios.
