The singer claims her label has not let her record music since 2012.

R&B singer Brandy filed a lawsuit against her record label Chameleon Entertainment Group this Tuesday, Rolling Stone reports. The singer claims her recording deal gave the label the option of releasing four more albums, but they have stood in the way of her recording new music since 2012. This, she alleges, was in an attempt to get her to sign a new deal with them.

Brandy has already dissolved her contract with Chameleon, this lawsuit will give a judge the opportunity to rule it as void. The singer’s last album was 2011’s Two Eleven, which means we may get a follow-up if all goes well.

Brandy made a surprising return at the beginning of the year with ‘Beggin’ And Pleadin” which you can hear below.
