The experimental titans join for a two-track album.

Editions Mego has announced details of the first collaborative record from experimental veterans Jim O’Rourke and Fennesz.

Released on June 24, It’s Hard For Me To Say I’m Sorry, is described by the label as a mix of “gurgling harmonies” and “shimmering frequencies” that move from gentle sounds to full-on distortion.

While the two-track LP is the pair’s first collaboration as a duo, it isn’t the first time they’ve played on the same record – in 2002 they appeared alongside Editions Mego boss Peter Rehberg on an album called The Return Of Fenn O’Berg.

Tracklist:

1. I Just Want You To Stay
2. Wouldn’t Wanna Be Swept Away
