Management confirms all programming is going forward as scheduled.

It’s been a tumultuous week for Brooklyn nightclub Verboten. After being shut down on Wednesday for failing to pay taxes, with over $360,000 owed, its owners filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Thursday and reopened on Friday.

Speaking to Thump, club owner Schiffer explained how “Chapter 11 allows us to protect and consolidate our assets so we can operate this club […] and move forward. […] We have every intention to keep working with the state.”

The venue will seek to restructure its finances and its programmed schedule will be maintained.
