The legendary drone duo announce their largest tour in nearly a decade.

Stars Of The Lid will embark on tour this fall to play some new compositions, and they’re bringing a few special additions. The longtime duo of Adam Wiltzie and Brian McBride will be joined by studio collaborator Francesco Donadello as well as Robert Donne of post-rock greats Labradford, and they’ll also bring along the Echo Collective string ensemble and a vintage Moog System 55.

Performances from the group have grown so rare that the 10-date tour actually makes it their longest since 2008, when they toured their last album Stars Of The Lid And Their Refinement of the Decline. Last year Kranky reissued the group’s records on vinyl, and Ben Frost revealed he was working with them on their long awaited new album.
