Mogwai will perform a live accompaniment to Atomic: Living in Dread and Promise at the Barbican on September 15.

First aired on BBC Four last summer, Mark Cousins’ nuclear age documentary is constructed entirely from archive footage of cold war politics, nuclear disasters and x-ray technology. The Scottish band’s pensive score was released on April 1 and marks their third soundtrack project following Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait and French drama Les Revenants.

Tickets for the gig go on sale to Barbican Members today (April 7) and on general sale on Friday.
