One of the Japanese metal band’s classics returns.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their breakthrough album Pink, Japanese trio Boris will release an extensive reissue and perform it in full on tour.
Though Pink came nearly a decade into the band’s career, it was something of a popular breakthrough for the band, combining the various shoegaze, sludge metal and post rock elements staggered over their previous albums.
Both the CD and triple LP reissues will come with a bonus disc of unreleased, newly mastered songs recorded during the Pink album sessions. Today, Pitchfork shared one of those new tracks, the aggressive ‘Are You Ready?’.
To promote the reissue, the band will tour behind Pink, performing the record in full with drone metal masters Earth providing opening support.
