Aaron Hemphill and Angus Andrews will perform and discuss the soundtrack live.

Liars have announced their latest project since 2014’s Mess, a score for the upcoming film 1/1, Pitchfork reports.

Band members Aaron Hemphill and Angus Andrews will perform the score live at Berlin festival Pop-Kultur where the film will also premiere.

1/1 is described as the story of Lissa, a 20-year-old in rural Pennsylvania “routinely trying to find a bit of distraction in sex and drugs” who tries to regain her life after hitting bottom following the death of her father.

Before the film’s premiere both Hemphill and Andrews will discuss “the idea behind the work and the relation of film and music in general”.

Learn more about the film and score through Pop-Kultur’s website. The festival will be held August 31-September 2.
