Watch FACT readers create beats for our Lady Leshurr freestyle competition
Make Music is coming.
Earlier this month, we asked FACT readers to send in their beats for new queen of grime Lady Leshurr, who would pick one beat to record a brand new freestyle over. The response was huge, with bedroom producers from the UK to the US to Japan and beyond sending in loops via Instagram for ‘Where Are You Now?’ star Leshurr. The competition has now closed, and the freestyle now filmed – Leshurr described herself as “blown away” by the quality of the entries, before recording a killer verse on the winning entry in front of FACT cameras. See a clip from the day below.

Who won? You’ll have to wait and see. But we can give you a glimpse at the entries. Watch some of the best of the beats below, and stay tuned to FACT for the full film coming very soon. And if you missed out this time, don’t worry – there’ll be more competitions soon as FACT launches Make Music, a new section dedicated to tech, music production and how to make beats at home.
