El-P and Killer Mike release an RTJ 3 track early.

Run the Jewels have always been politically outspoken, both as a duo and in their own respective solo careers. Earlier today, Killer Mike appeared on morning talk show The Real to discuss why he believes Donald Trump was elected and why Bernie Sanders would have been a better Democratic candidate.

Now, the two have released a new track ‘2100’ featuring frequent collaborator and producer Boots. “Here is a song we wrote months ago,” they write on SoundCloud. “We weren’t planning on releasing it yet but… well it feels right, now.

“It’s about fear and it’s about love and it’s about wanting more for all of us. It’s called ‘2100’. We hope it finds you well. Love, Jaime and Mike.”

Listen to the track below, which features artwork by Meredith Graves of MTV News and Perfect Pussy.
