Hear the first single from Faith Evans’ posthumous duet project with The Notorious B.I.G.

It features a guest verse from Jadakiss.

The first track from Faith Evans’ The King & I, a duet project with her late husband and legend The Notorious B.I.G., has appeared online. ‘NYC’ features vocals from unreleased Biggie cut ‘Mumbling and Whispering’ and a guest verse from The LOX’s Jadakiss.

Evans originally announced the project in a 2014 interview and a release date was slated for last fall:

“I’ve been thinking that it would be something great to do for a long time… And I told Mrs. Wallace [Biggie’s mother] several years ago that one day I want to do this. So we have her blessing on it… I’m making completely new records, some of which will be mostly me singing and maybe him rapping a bridge. Some of which will be him rapping most of the song and maybe me just singing the hooks.”
