Aphex Twin logo designer Paul Nicholson shares never-before-seen original sketches

A follow-up to his previously released blueprints.

Designer Paul Nicholson has shared his original sketches for the Aphex Twin logo in a continuing celebration of Selected Ambient Works 85-92’s 25th anniversary.

A-SKHEX – Preliminary and Developmental Sketches for the APHEX TWIN Logo. All sketches have been taken from my workbook and span November 1991 to October 1993. I will be posting further scans, including the thought process behind the sleeve artwork to Selected Ambient Works Vol 2… Keep it locked. Everything presented here has never been published before and unseen since worked on with Richard. The drawings were part of a workbook Nicholson used between 1991 and 1993 to sketch design ideas. Though he previously shared original blueprints for the logo, these new photos show how many subtle variations he experimented with. Next up, Nicholson will cover the concept behind the cover of Selected Ambient Works Volume II.
