“I’m not doing it to have financial control over my music.”

In a new interview, Travis Scott revealed he’s starting his own label, Cactus Jack Records, with the aim to “help other artists, launch new names, to provide opportunities.”

“I want to do for them what happened to me, but better,” he told Numéro in a new profile. “By better I mean no bullshit. No lying to the artists about album release dates or the budgets of videos and albums.”

In another part of the interview he talks about not wanting to get stuck in a single genre, his love of “Tame Impala ambient tracks” and how he’d like to try his hand at making similar music.
