A brace of celebratory cups-in-the-air cuts from the 19-year-old.

‘Panda’ rapper Desiigner, who kicked off his Outlet tour of the US in Seattle on Sunday, has released two new singles to go with it.

‘Up’ is a joyous warble geared directly at the waviest moment of the night – and is that a Gangsta Boo-style “yeah, ho!” we hear at the beginning?

But ‘Thank God I Got It’ is the pick of the pair: over its six minutes, Desiigner runs through an array of flows as one of the best beats of the year oscillates, scratches and generally veers all over the place behind him. The production comes courtesy of Mitus, who has already contributed to both Rihanna’s Anti (‘Goodnight Gotham’) and Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo (‘FML’). It’s the kind of track the G.O.O.D. Music signee needs to be making in order to move beyond the Future comparisons that have shadowed his young career.

Both singles are available on Apple Music. They are the third and fourth singles of 2017 for Desiigner, following February’s ‘Outlet’ and last month’s ‘Holy Ghost’, which you can hear below.
