Teengirl Fantasy’s ‘Dancing in Slow Motion’ is one of the best songs of the year. Yeah, ‘Cheaters’ is great with its defiant vocal coming through the dusty fug of decayed Chicago house records, but sometimes pop music needs to be clean to shine the way it should, and this is a case in point.

If there’s one thing that would make ‘Dancing’ better, it’s a really good dance edit; one that stretches the tune out to make it club-friendly, but also uses the edit medium to accentuate and compliment the best parts of the track. New York’s Brenmar takes on the challenge, and smacks it out the park – that bit, with a minute to go, where he brings vocalist Shannon Funchess back in for one last chorus? Pretty close to Heaven.
