As previously reported, Robag Wruhme’s new solo album is called Thora Vukk and is rather good indeed.

Available now on CD/digital via DJ Koze and Marcus Fink’s Pampa label (with 2×12″ edition to follow in a week or so), current home to Isolee among others, it finds the sometime Wighnomy Brother creating a coherent and absorbing listening album out of complex, swinging club tracks and well-judged ambient interludes, all rendered with the attention to detail and sure sense of groove that has long characterised his work. As Robag himself puts it, it’s “ideal for the bedroom or passenger cabins of any kind”.

You can find out more about the album here. We’ve got hold a non-album track which gives you a flavour of what to expect. Entitled ‘Bud Bukkerl’, it’s available for you to stream and/or download via the SoundCloud player below. It’s a dreamy electronic outing in the time-honoured Germany style, with shades of late 70s kosmische and also the early 21st century Kompakt/Cologne sound (which of course Wruhme had a hand in shaping).
