Last year, dubstep mum Mary Anne Hobbs signed Young Montana out as her “favourite unsigned arists of 2010”. Today, we’re streaming his debut album.

Listening to Limerence, you can see why. Hyperactive from the start, it’s beats music for a generation overloaded with information. The grooves are strong enough to reign supreme, but Montana never lets them sit still for long, cutting and splicing them into a white-hot vision of electronic music turned on its head, falling into new, unpredictable shapes. Yes, it’ll be a bit too much for some, but fans of Hudson Mohawke, Prefuse 73 et al might have just found their album of the year.

It’s out now on Alpha Pup; check it out below.
