A$AP Ferg readies Trap Lord mixtape for release

The A$AP Mobster will release his first full-length effort “at the end of February, early March.”

Recently signed to Polo Grounds/RCA, A$AP Ferg is the member of Rocky’s crew most likely to make an impact in the rap world. Ferg has impressed in limited duty, whether on the codeine-sippin’ ‘Bangin’ On Waxx’ or the trap stalker ‘Work’ (both tracks appeared on the Mob’s Lord$ Never Worry mixtape), and — perhaps most importantly — has four of rap’s trendiest characters affixed to his name.

A$AP fans will soon have more material to mull over: Ferg says his Trap Lord mixtape is due out late February or early March. In an interview with XXL, Ferg says Trap Lord is his first “demo,” as he “never even put out a demo for the labels to hear.”

“My plan is to drop this Trap Lord mixtape, shake the world up a little bit, turn the world upside down. And just have fun. It’s about having fun. Y’all seen A$AP get the lawsuits and fight and all of this crazy stuff, now I want y’all to see the fun part. I’ve been in the passenger seat with Rocky driving for a while. Now it’s the part where they see what success brings you,” he says.

Watch the video for ‘Work’ below. Ferg will also appear on Kilo Kish’s forthcoming mixtape, along with SBTRKT, Earl Sweatshirt, and Star Slinger.
