Nile Rodgers’ disco champs continue their 2013 revival with a classy reissue.

After scoring a million-selling hit single, beating prostate cancer and taking his revived band on tour around the world, Nile Rodgers continues the Year of Chic with a boxset of their classic records.

The Chic 12″ Singles Collection features 10 of the band’s best-loved hits, including ‘Le Freak’, ‘Everybody Dance’ and ‘I Want Your Love’. Reproduced in their original extended versions at 45rpm, the singles are spread across five 12″s and come packed in retro disco sleeves. The collection comes out through Warner Music’s reissue label Rhino on 26 August.

Chic fans can also look forward to a mooted compilation of cassette recordings and unreleased demos, hinted at by Rodgers earlier this year, plus another potential Daft Punk collaboration. Still not enough disco for you? Here’s a rundown of the best Rodgers collaborations you never knew existed.
