The Third Coming.
In the wake of their recent reunion, The Stone Roses bass player Mani has suggested that the reunited band will break a 20 year recording hiatus in 2015. Speaking to Manchester website Gigslutz, Mani revealed that the group has been “working on a few bits” of new music, confirming long-running rumours that the band had new material in the works.
When pressed to reveal when an album might see the light of day, he said “2015 man, 2015!” – not exactly a rock-solid release date, but still a telling insight into the band’s current road-map for the coming years.
A new album would be their first full-length since 1994’s oft-maligned Second Coming. The Stone Roses featured in our guide to who might be headlining Glastonbury 2014.
