The Honest offcut surfaces.

In the run-up to the release of his second album, Future spoke of ‘Rock Star’, a song that featured Nicki Minaj but could not be released due to an uncleared sample of George Michael’s ‘Careless Whisper’. He even went as far as telling members of the press to record and leak the song themselves.

‘Rock Star’ has surfaced, and it’s a shame that the DJ Clue-produced track didn’t make it on Honest, an uneven album that could used a punchy track like this. However, it’s unclear if ‘Rock Star’ samples ‘Careless Whisper’ or simply interpolates it. Stream it below and decide for yourself.
