Objekt doesn’t release much, but when he does he tends to make it count.
The Berlin-based expat has built up a reputation for studiously-constructed tracks stationed somewhere between European techno and the UK continuum (namely dubstep, and in this track’s case, autonomic d’n’b) – from his first self-titled 12″s to the mighty ‘Cactus’, one of Hessle Audio’s very best records. His latest transmission comes on Leisure System – a two-track split with Gerald Donald’s (also of Drexciya) legendary electro project Dopplereffekt, titled Hypnagogia.
Hypnagogia will be released on September 1 – we’re premiering Objekt’s contribution, ‘Ganzfeld’, below. Leisure System will be teaming up with Fabric’s Houndstooth label for a November takeover of London’s Studio Spaces, presented by The Hydra. That night features both Objekt and Dopplereffekt, as well as Clark, Call Super, Akkord, Luke Vibert and more.
