Watch Pharrell’s ‘It Girl’ video produced by Takashi Murakami

And he’s still wearing the hat.

After collaborating with Takashi Murakami earlier this year for a song on the Japanese artist’s film, Pharrell has linked up with his artistic hero once again.

‘It Girl’ is the latest single from Pharrell’s solo album G I R L, and although it may not be his finest hour musically speaking, Murakami’s instantly recognisable animated figures turn the video in a real work of art. Murakami is named as the producer, while the director is Mr. Fantasista Utamaro.

Meanwhile, get excited about the rumours of a new N.E.R.D. album and check out Pharrell’s 50 Best Tracks.
