Seattle duo weave a tale of deception in new video.
Earlier this year Shabazz Palaces released their second album for the Sub Pop label, Lese Majesty. In our review of the record, Maya Kalev called it thus: “if Black Up established their status as hip-hop outliers, then Lese Majesty solidifies their place in the pantheon of rap’s oddball geniuses.”
Equally oddball have been the videos for Lese Majesty and the latest, for album track ‘Motion Sickness’, continues that trend with a surreal tale of drugs, undercover agents and dreaming girls. You can watch the video exclusively below.
Shabazz Palaces are hitting the road today for an extensive European tour that runs until mid-November and takes in Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, the UK, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Germany. The UK dates mark their first run of live shows in the country in three years. You can see full dates and locations beneath the video.
