Following a pair of 12″s on his own Broadwalk Records last year, Julio Bashmore is back with a teaser from his debut album.

‘Kong’ pairs a sun-kissed, gently clip-clopping beat with soulful vocals from London funk producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer Bixby, and it feels like a summer selection in the making. Check it out below and look out for the album, expected in February.

Last year Bashmore teamed up with Kowton for an EP as Ekranoplan and dropped ‘Simple Love’ and the disco-tinged ‘Rhythm of Auld’. We also collared him to ask about his favourite record.
