Alabama’s Sharp Veins will release his debut EP through Glacial Sound on May 11.

Although this is Sharp Veins’ first record, he’s building up a reputation – he contributed to Boxed’s Boxed Vol. 1 comp under a past alias, and was picked as one of FACT’s club producers to watch earlier this year. He’s also popped up on radio a fair few times.

In Sharp Veins’ own words, “all the songs on Inbox Island describe (and live in) fictional places – idyllic, isolated locations far away from where I am now, all viewed through a digital prism. It’s escapism, or a brand of it heavily informed by all the fucking time I spend on the Internet searching for places I’d rather be.”

Dude, we feel you. If you’ve followed Sharp Veins so far then you can take a decent guess at what to expect: a combination of drone, ambience, Southern hip-hop and 140bpm club music that seems to sit everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

You can pre-order the record here; listen to the title track below.

Tracklist:
1. Inbox Island
2. Water Logged
3. 2 Bad So Sad
