The Lewisham grime talent teases his next projects.

After kicking off the year with his and Mumdance’s 1 Sec EP on XL, Novelist has been hard at work on his next projects.

He tells SBTV that his album is done and that it’s fully self-produced. “I can’t really describe what it sounds like, you’ll just have to hear it. People relate me to Dizzee in the Boy In Da Corner days, but imagine if you interviewed him then, he wouldn’t be able to explain what the sound was. I made all of the beats and they all sound different.”

In addition, he’s recording a street CD that he’ll have on him “at all times,” selling it at raves and out the back of his car; he might do a limited run of 100 vinyl records, as well. “I’ve started making it but I don’t want to say too much about it, I just want to fully go in on it,” he says, noting that recent SoundCloud drop ‘Yakuta Riddim’ will probably be on it.

He also did two tracks with Jamie xx, but one became ‘I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)’, featuring Young Thug and Popcaan. “You might hear my voice at the end of it,” he laughs.
