The Astral Plane explores anxiety and anticipation with Psychotropia compilation

Stream GROVESTREET’s industrial ‘Hazardous Child’ now.

The Astral Plane — ace music blog and curator of FACT’s For Club Use Only column — have prepped a second compilation, Psychotropia. The set follows last year’s Heterotopia and a pair of remix volumes.

Psychotropia explores “an alternative look into the club experience, one marked not by hedonism and euphoria, but by anxiety and anticipation.” Crafted with these in-between moments in mind, the comp features a dozen artists, many of whom will be familiar to For Club Only readers, including Mechatok, Soda Plains and C Plus Plus.

While compilation opener Mechatok’s ‘Night Dew’ is optimistic, GROVESTREET’s industrially-textured ‘Hazardous Child’ is more pessimistic. Stream the latter below — Psychotropia is due out on October 27.
