Lisbon crew Niagara have started their own label.

After introducing themselves to the world via the city’s essential Principe Discos imprint, releasing their Ouro Oeste EP in 2013 and Ímpar earlier this year, the hardware-loving mutant house group will launch Ascender next month.

The first release is a fresh 12″ from Niagara, also titled ‘Ascender’ and led by the fizzing, super-squelchy house stomp of ‘Beto’ – stream that below and grab the record on December 7.

Niagara’s house leanings are a somewhat distanced from the burgeoning batida scene typically profiled on Principe, but you’re here now, so check out scene elder DJ Marfox’s FACT mix and rewind to Robert Barry’s 2013 feature on the sound of Lisbon’s ghettos.

Tracklist:

A1 SEE
A2 Beto
A3 Hexe
A4 Ara
