Add to the digital pollution with a suite of vaporwave-y tones.

James Ferraro has created a suite of ringtones for an exhibition at Tokyo’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

The exhibition follows his 2014 show at MoMA PS1 in New York, where Ferraro explored how ringtones and elevator music have become psychological and architectural components of commerce and daily life.

The FUKU-TONE series, which he describes as a “digital pollution suite”, are available free for iOS or Android – download here and listen below.

Ferraro’s last album, Skid Row, came out in 2014 as a conceptual follow-up to Hell NYC, 3AM.
