Ice Cube has some tricks up his sleeves.

Still riding the wave of their blockbuster biopic (which scooped an Oscar nomination last week), N.W.A. could be set to reunite at this year’s Coachella festival.

Ice Cube is booked to play the California festival as a solo artist, but he says he’s planning to get his old crew together for a reunion show.

“I’ve got some tricks up my sleeves,” he told US show The Talk. “I’m gonna try to bring the members of N.W.A. together. Give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and N.W.A., Westside Connection, everything I’ve been doing over the years.”

He also promised “some great visuals”, leading to speculation that the Eazy-E hologram debuted at Rock The Bells in 2013 could make another appearance.

Ice Cube, DJ Yella and MC Ren got together on stage at the BET Experience last year, but they are yet to recreate the classic line-up with Dr Dre. Still, Dre has an album to promote too, and Coachella will surely be keen to score a third massive reunion on the bill alongside Guns N’ Roses and LCD Soundsystem.

Last year N.W.A. were selected to join the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
