Midland has finally stepped into the Essential Mix hotseat.

The moustachioed DJ and producer delivers a cracking two hours that’s far from the usual peak-time workout, selecting tracks by Nick Drake, Silver Apples and Talk Talk as well as more typical Essential Mix fare from Jon Hopkins or Hessle’s Ploy.
