Asif Kapadia’s film Amy has taken home the Oscar for Best Documentary. It beats out What Happened, Miss Simone?, Liz Garbus’ doc about Nina Simone. Laurie Anderson’s autobiographical film Heart of a Dog made the shortlist, but was ultimately not nominated for award.
