A jazzy night out.
London label Young Turks will host a party for inaugural south London festival Sunfall.
FlyLo collaborator and the jazz bandleader behind Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly album, Kamasi Washington, will make the trip to Herne Hill’s OTC Bar on July 9, along with Under The Skin composer Mica Levi and MOBO winning jazz drummer Moses Boyd.
This evening show, which takes place at London’s Brockwell Park, is part of the inaugural Sunfall Festival, which is run by the team behind Outlook and Dimensions Festival, as well as London venues XOYO, Phonox and The Nest.
Sunfall boasts a genre-spanning musical palate, serving up jazz, hip-hop, electronica, house, techno, among many more. Jamie xx is booked to headline the first year, with FACT favourite Omar-S also set to play, as well. The lineup also includes Ben Klock and Donato Dozzy, Digital Mystikz, Shackleton, Fatima Yamaha, Hunee and Joy Orbison.
More information and tickets for the event can be found at the festival’s website.
