Say hello to Konnichiwa.

Skepta’s eagerly awaited new album Konnichiwa has finally dropped and is now available to stream on Spotify.

The north London MC debuted the album in Tokyo last night (May 5) for a Boiler Room live stream that also featured a host of Japanese grime MCs, including Kohh and Loota.

Rapping through the album – with its politically-charged title track (“no one’s voting for your corrupt agenda”) – the ‘Shutdown’ artist gave a shout-out to Pharrell, who collaborated with him for ‘Numbers’.

The 12-track LP also features guest spots from Novelist for ‘Lyrics’, which Skepta teased earlier this week, Wiley for ‘Corn On The Curb’ – which also namechecks Drake – A$AP Mob’s Young L.O.R.D and his Boy Better Know crew for ‘Detox’.

This is the follow-up to 2011’s Doin’ It Again, but a lot has happened in five years, including grime anthem ‘Shutdown’ getting an Ivor Novello nomination and Boy Better Know signing Drake.

Buy Konnichiwa on iTunes now or stream with Spotify below.
