Dark Matter has been 15 years in the making.

Touch has revealed details of the next album from dark ambient pioneer Lustmord, created from deep space recordings.

Released on September 30, Dark Matter uses “an audio library of cosmological activity” recorded between 1993 and 2003. Sources include NASA, The Very Large Array, The National Radio Astronomy Observatory and other institutions.

As RA reports, the album has been 15 years in the making, with the artist first mentioning the project in an interview from 2001.

Dark Matter is the artist’s Touch debut, and his first studio album since 2013’s The Word as Power for Blackest Ever Black.
