Famous boxers, martyred gorillas and Mortal Kombat comparisons.

Young Thug has dropped his No, My Name is Jeffrey mixtape.

Featuring guest spots from Gucci Mane, Gunna, Quavo, Offset, Travi$ Scott, Young Scooter, Duke and Wyclef Jean, the ATL rapper, born Jeffrey Williams, says that he named the songs after all his idols.

Boxer Floyd Mayweather is honoured, and there’s also a tribute to Harambe – the gorilla who was shot and killed at the Cincinnati Zoo earlier this year.

No, My Name is Jeffrey is available to stream via Apple Music in the US, although it doesn’t appear to have been added to streaming platforms in the UK yet.

The artwork, which features an image of Thug in a pale violet dress and bonnet, has sparked comparisons to anime (specifically Akatsuki from Naruto), Disney princesses and Mortal Kombat.

It’s been a busy year for Thug, who popped up on Gucci Mane’s first post-prison album, put out a new track with Travis Scott and Quavo, appeared in Calvin Klein’s Fall 2016 campaign (alongside Frank Ocean), and released two mixtapes: I’m Up and Slime Season 3. Still no word on debut album Hy!£UN35, though.
