LCD Soundsystem were set to perform two headlining sets at the festival.

The LCD Soundsystem-curated Beach Vibes festival, which was due to take place in Riviera Maya on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula from January 26-28 next year, has been cancelled.

A statement posted to the Beach Vibes site explains that “the event was not coming together in the way that it was envisioned, and all parties have agreed that putting on an event that is less than 100% would be a disservice to the fans and bands alike.”

It adds that festival-goers who purchased all-inclusive packages will be refunded in full, including related airfare expenses, and will receive direct communication from CID Presents in the coming days.

LCD Soundsystem were set to perform two headlining sets at the festival, alongside performances from Carl Craig, Run the Jewels, Holy Ghost!, and Hot Chip.

In August, the recently-reunited New York band, who earlier this year played their first show in five years, reportedly cancelled a tour of Asia and Australia to work on their new album, which is slated for release in 2016.
