Flying Lotus will present a premiere of his short film Royal.

Flying Lotus (aka Steven Ellison) has announced that he will launch Brainfeeder Films – a new independent film finance and production outfit – at a special event at London’s historic Regent Street Cinema on November 16.

Ellison will be joined by animator David Firth, creator of the popular Salad Fingers web series, and the event will be the world premiere of Firth’s newest short film, Cream and feature film Umbilical World. Ellison will present the UK premiere of his short film Royal.

Firth and Ellison first collaborated on 2014’s Flying Lotus video ‘Ready Err Not’, and Ellison says: “Cream represents David’s incredible talent and his ability to continue to amaze audiences with his edgy and envelope-pushing animation. I am looking forward to breaking boundaries with him as we continue to develop and produce animated and live-action content at Brainfeeder Films.”

Brainfeeder Films is currently producing its first feature film – it’s called Kuso and stars funk legend George Clinton and comedians Anders Holm (from Workaholics) and Byron Bowers.
